In the MADI Lab (Miscommunication and Dialogue Interaction Lab), undergraduate and (Master’s and Doctoral) graduate students work with Jenny on topics related to how people (primarily neuro-typical adults) communicate and miscommunicate. In our lab, we study communication and pragmatics, with an interest in topics related to implicit bias, emotion perception, and miscommunication. To do this we focus on things like implicit social bias, perspective taking, tone of voice, behavioral alignment, and how social context shapes your communication style.
